Paul Thomas Anderson’s lavish period drama Phantom Thread isn’t just one of the best films of last year – it’s also one of the funniest. To prove our point, ET has shared a deleted scene from the film ahead of its released on Blu-ray and DVD on 10 April.
The two-minute clip is an outtake from one of the film’s many breakfast scenes – only this time the early hours confrontation escalates to a full-blown food fight between Lesley Manville’s Cyril and Daniel Day-Lewis’ Reynolds Woodcock. If you’ve seen the film, you’ll be able to guess who comes out on top.
Although Day-Lewis apparently found the shoot to be a gruelling experience, it’s a joy to watch him blowing off steam here. Watch closely and you’ll even notice DDL breaking character for just a moment. Check out the clip below and read our review of Phantom Thread here.
