Did you know that after the US and the UK, Denmark was the first nation to commit to sending troops to Afghanistan? It’s a little-known fact that’s brought to light in powerful fashion by director Tobias Lindholm in his Oscar shortlisted latest, A War, which stars Pilou Asbæk (Borgen, A Hijacking, Games of Thrones) as a company commander who’s charged with committing a war crime following a botched mission.
We spoke to Asbæk recently about his own views on war plus his upcoming role in the sixth season of Game of Thrones, all of which you can read right here the first week of January.
