There’s not long to go now before we get to see Rian Johnson’s no-doubt unique vision of the Star Wars universe. The director has sometimes been a little ambiguous about his desire that we should gorge on these sneak peeks before the main event – is it not better to preserve the surprise for the cinema? – but you can’t argue that the kid sure knows how to cut a killer trailer.
The whole crew are back, and there are hints of a few new characters and some potential storylines in the offing, but you can be certain that this is a mere crack in the doorway of what he’s actually got in store for us come 14 December.
