The first teaser trailer for one of our most anticipated films of 2017 has arrived and it doesn’t disappoint. The long-awaited sequel to Ridley Scott’s 1982 sci-fi classic, sees Harrison Ford reprise his role as replicant-hunter Rick Deckard, who in a neat twist of fate finds himself being tracked down by Ryan Gosling’s newbie blade runner.
Gosling’s character, known simply as K, discovers a dark secret that leads him to find the elusive Deckard who has been missing for 30 years. The teaser suggests that director Denis Villeneuve has been careful to remain loyal to the first film, with the rainy, neon-lit LA streets and a brooding male lead complete with a long, brown overcoat all intact. We really can’t wait for this one.
Blade Runner 2049 is set for release 6 October, 2017.
