Forget Marty McFly’s self-lacing Nikes, the movie shoes we’ve always secretly dreamed of one day owning are Bill Murray’s custom Rom Zissou sneakers from Wes Anderson’s 2004 film The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
Well, that long-held fantasy looks set to become reality courtesy of adidas, who have recreated the previously-fictional, retro-styled shoe as it appears in the iconic film.
As reported by sneakernews, a super limited run of 100 pairs of Rom Zissous was made available to attendees at We Love Green Festival in Paris last weekend, which also featured a live appearance from Seu Jorge, whose music features prominently on The Life Aquatic soundtrack.
There’s no word yet on whether adidas have plans to give the shoes a wider release, but we’ll be first in line should that day come. In the meantime check them out below…
